Doris K. Steele

Doris K. Steele, 84, of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018.  She was born October, 20, 1933 in Yellow Creek, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Orville and Joanna (Snyder) Steele. 

She is survived by a brother Robert Steele married to Betty, Hopewell, PA and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.  Doris was preceded in death by siblings Harry Steele, Fred Steele, Cora Mae Ferry, Evelyn Sollenberger, Elizabeth Kagarise, and an infant sister Rosalyn Steele.

Doris was a graduate of Robert P. Smith High School Class of 1951.  She was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of Brethren and enjoyed attending the Women’s Fellowship group.  She loved drives in the country, working puzzle books, and reading.

She spent her entire career working as a telephone operator for United Telephone Company until her retirement.

Friends and Family may call at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, 4285 Raystown Road, Hopewell, PA 16650 on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Yellow Creek Church of Brethren, 4285 Raystown Road, Hopewell, PA with Pastor Philip Steele officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Steele Cemetery.
