Doreen M Edwards

Doreen M. Edwards, 91, of State Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at home.  She was born on January 13, 1927 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Chester and Pearl (Creps) Foor, she was the youngest of eleven children.  On February 21, 1947 in Winchester, VA; she married Zane G. Edwards, he preceded her in death on December 4, 2010, ending a marriage just short of sixty-four years.
She is survived by four children Terry Edwards, Fairfax, VA; Jacquelyn married to Brent Boor, Everett, PA; Timothy Edwards married to Gina, Finland; Dr. Todd Edwards married to Elaine, Memphis, TN; six grandchildren Kristin married to Ken Byrd; Benjamin Boor married to Stephanie, FL; Christopher Edwards married to Tesha, CA; Katie married to Ed Wallen, Fairfax, VA; Allison Edwards, Arlington, VA and Sarah Edwards, TN; nine great grandchildren Rachel, Matthew and Andrew Hamilton, TX; Hannah, Tyler and Ethan Boor, FL; Sophia and Jack Wallen, VA and Echo Meadows, CA; two great great grandchildren Jayden Hamilton and Kaylee White, TX; brother-in-law John Shoemaker and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. 
Doreen was a graduate of Robert P. High School Class of 1945.  She was a member of the Everett Church of Brethren, where she sang in the church choir.  She enjoyed playing Bingo. 
Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Benner officiating.
Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
