Deanna D. Roland

Mrs. Deanna Dawn Roland, 71, of Five Forks Road, Clearville, died Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home.

She was born on April 24, 1946, in Huntingdon Hospital; daughter of the late George Ramsey and Sue M. Pittman.  She was originally from Coalmont, Huntingdon County.

On November 28, 1965, at her residence, she married the late Robert J. Roland.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 1999.

Together, they had nine children:  Jennifer, married to Chuck Reuter of Everett; David; Robert; Joshua, and wife Heather (Cooper) of Clearville; Charles; Krista, and companion Terry Johns of Everett; Adam, and wife Shannon (Hottle) of Somerset; Benjamin; and Aaron.

Her children provided her with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She has one brother, Austin L. Ramsey married to Debra (Rice), Everett.

Deanna was a 1964 graduate of the Everett Area High School.  She attended nurses training in Cumberland, MD; and worked briefly as a Nurse’s Aid at the prior Memorial Hospital of Bedford County before starting her family.  She was a lifelong homemaker, farmer’s wife, and military mom.

She and her husband and family attended Zion Lutheran Church, Clearville for many years.

At Deanna’s request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial contributions are made to the American Diabetes Association.
