Daniel Wayne Border, 95, of Summit Street, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Colonial Courtyard, Bedford. He was born on August 19, 1922 in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania; son of William Henry and Zola (Ritchey) Border. On July 6, 1946 he married Joan (Shaffer) Border in the Zion Lutheran Church, Everett. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2011.
He is survived by son Gary Border married to Marolyn, Orlando, FL; grandchildren Angela Louise married to Dana Mitnik, Pittsburgh, PA, Angela Edmiston, Lewisberry, PA, Stephanie Edmiston, Orlando FL, Kara Edmiston, Orlando, FL, Keely Hoffman, Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren Taylor Hoffman and Gabrielle Hoffman.
Wayne was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Everett.
He was a graduate of Broad Top High School Class of 1939 and attended Penn State.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was active as a coach for Everett Little League and Teener League baseball.
Wayne worked a number of years in Pittsburgh and Baltimore for Westinghouse and later retiring from Kennametal after thirty-two years of service.
A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family with Vicar Kathy Popp officiating.
