D. Virginia (Blake) Grace

D. Virginia Grace, 85, of June Drive, Roaring Spring, PA; passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2019 at home.  She was born on August 18, 1934 in Hopewell Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Ernest and Olive (Eltman) Blake.  She married Kenneth Sheeder on August 19, 1953, and they resided in the Hopewell area until he preceded her in death in 1997. She was later united in marriage to Wilday I. Grace on May 21, 1999 in Winchester, VA. 

Along with her husband she is survived by children Beth Morris, Bedford, PA; Barry Sheeder, Hopewell, PA; Kevin Sheeder married to Elsie, Claysburg, PA; Brenda Sheeder-Nast married to David, Long Valley, NJ and Brad Sheeder married to Lisa, Round Knob, PA; grandchildren Nathan and Phillip Fox; Rachel and Ryan Sheeder; Thomas and Zoe Nast; Skyler, Kyle, Kenneth, Maelee and McKenna Sheeder; great-grandchildren Lily Grace Fox, Noah and Natalie Fox, Kinsley and Rory Sheeder, and Remington Sheeder ; siblings William Blake married to Cleo, Yellow Creek, PA; Annie Zimmerman, Painesville, OH; Betty Lou Foor, Zephyr Hills, FL and Geraldine Stitt, Mentor, OH.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Scott Fox and siblings Jane Henry and Ernest Blake, Jr.

Mrs. Grace was a graduate of Robert P. Smith High School Class of 1951. In later years she worked at the Hopewell Area Senior Center and attended the Trinity United Methodist Church of Roaring Spring.

She enjoyed sewing, fishing, playing cards and tending to her flower garden.

Friends and Family will be received on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Locker officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Hopewell Cemetery.
