Charles D. Clingerman, 87, of Clearville, PA; passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at his home with family. He was born on August 17, 1932 in Artemas, PA; a son of the late Marshall D. and Allie (Robison) Clingerman. On July 4, 1953 in Fairview Christian Church he married Evelyn R. (Jay) Clingerman.
Along with his wife of sixty-six years he is survived by four sons Roy Clingerman married to Sherry (Mills), Clearville, PA; Kenny Clingerman married to Paula (Waltman), Everett, PA; Daron Clingerman married to Stacey (Ramsey), Everett, PA; Lance Clingerman married to Yvette (Brallier), Clearville, PA; grandchildren Shawn Clingerman married to Trisha; Nathalie Imler married to Eric; Shelly Fernandez married to Frank; Sloan Clingerman married to Jerrica; Taylor Clingerman married to Chelsea; Morgann Yonker married to Adam; Caden Clingerman and Collin, Bryson and Avery Clingerman; eight great grandchildren Meah Eshelman, Ava and Kenley Imler, Mya and Charley Fernandez, Kate and Kyson Clingerman and Annsley Yonker; siblings Thelma Diehl wife of the late Charles, Bedford, PA Wanda Pierro married to Tony, Cocoa Beach, FL, Ronald Clingerman married to Arlene (Brown), Everett, PA and sister-in-law Mary Clingerman, FL.
He was preceded in death by siblings Arlene Brantner and John Clingerman.
Charles was a graduate of Everett High School class of 1949 and a member of the Bethel Christian Church. He previously served as a Mann Township Supervisor and a Buchanan State Forest Fire Warden for fifty years.
Over the years he was a self-employed Truck Driver and worked with his sons in the Lumber and Firewood Industry. He is fondly remembered as a man whom was quick-witted, headstrong and liked to do things on his own terms. Charles was always willing to help neighbors and lend a hand to those in need. He was known for being able to fix or build anything with his hands.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, whom he loved to stir up trouble with and make laugh. Charles will be remembered for being resourceful in all that he did; a trait which he instilled in his sons.
Friends and Family may call at the Bethel Christian Church, 1355 Big Creek Road, Clearville, PA 15535 on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at the Bethel Christian Church with Pastor Todd Jay officiating.
Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
