Carol Ann (Whitfield) Sparks

Carol Ann (Whitfield) Sparks, 66, of North Milk and Water Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at home with family by her side.  She was born on September 18, 1951 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late John Whitfield Jr. and Alberta I. (Shipley) Whitfield.  On July 30, 1972 in the Black Valley Federated Church she was united in marriage to Richard J. Sparks.  He preceded her in death on January 1, 2016.  She is survived by two sons Brian R. Sparks married to Dorenda (Allen) and Bradley J. Sparks married to Rachel (Phillips); grandchildren Owen, Ali, Kamarra and Richard; two brothers Roger and Robert Whitfield; a special niece and nephew Lorie and Emerson Silvestre and family.

She was preceded in death by a brother David Whitfield.

Carol was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School Class of 1969 and Award Beauty School in 1970.

She was a member of the Black Valley Federated Church.
Carol loved spending time on the farm in Black Valley and playing with her grandchildren.  She was a devoted mother and Gigi.  She was self employed as a hair dresser.  Carol loved her clients and considered them as family and looked forward to her Friday appointments. She will be deeply missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
