Betty J. Hasting

Betty J. Hasting, 80, of Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Health Center, formerly of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018.  She was born on November 23, 1937 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Clyde and Marie (Eshelman) Weaver.   

She is survived by children Deb Cogan and lifetime partner Kenny Smith, Breezewood, PA; Joyce Brooks, Mebane, NC; Randy Hasting married to Theresa (Tenley), Woodbury, PA; and Pat Chesney, Claysburg, PA; siblings Donald Weaver married to Dorothy, Duncansville, PA; Harold Weaver, Everett, PA; and Shirley Lear married to Paul, Osterburg, PA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by sons James Hasting and Rodney Hasting; brother Clyde Weaver, and infant sister Naomi Weaver.

Betty was of the Protestant Faith.  She enjoyed canning and gardening.

Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 1-2 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Hott officiating.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, PA.
