On Thursday, October 31, 2019, Amanda Jane Fait, age 40, of Rocklick Hollow Road, New Paris, left this life for a Greater Life with her daughter, Laina Rae Haney, by her side to accompany her on their journey to Heaven.
Mandy was born in Roaring Spring on June 4, 1979, the daughter of Russell G. and Carolyn Jo (Blackburn) Fait.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her son Logan Michael Haney; sister Lindsay Kennell married to Bill; nephews Billy Kennell and Dean Kennell and grandfather Joseph Blackburn. She also has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mandy was preceded in death by grandparents; Russell H. Fait, Hazel (Clites) Fait and most recently Faye (Hillegass) Blackburn.
Mandy was a member of Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Bedford High School Class of 1997.
While in high school she worked at the Bedford Giant Eagle. Later she began working at Bedford True Value Hardware where she has remained for over twenty years, except for a short six months break, when she left to make some new friends at Fisher’s Country Store. Her smiling face greeted those that entered the door at True Value, where she was known at a “Hardware Diva”. She was loved by the customers and coworkers alike and she loved the people she spent her work days with just like family.
Mandy was known for trying to find the “good” in whoever she met and tried to pass a kindness onto all that she could.
Mandy has been a joy and blessing to her parents. She was a superb big sister and she brought many smiles to her nephews. But most of all, Mandy loved her children with all her heart and they knew it. There was nothing she treasured more than spending time with Laina, Logan and Logan’s special girl, Lindsay Butts. No matter if it was out in the sunshine enjoying the beauty of God’s Great Earth or cuddled up watching a movie, she was at peace and the world was right if they were with her. We must now learn how to live life without her and Lainy and we will cling to our memories of them always.
