Allan E. Semanek I

Allan E. Semanek I, 82, of Lower Snake Spring Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at his home.  He was born on January 18, 1936 in Bedford, PA; a son of the late Robert and Laura May (Sellers) Semanek.  On June 22, 1964 in Winchester, VA he married Nancy J. (Snyder) Semanek.  Along with his wife of fifty-four years, he is survived by daughter Karen Semanek; son Allan Semanek II and his brother Terry Semanek married to Bonnie.

Allen was a graduate of Bedford High School and went on to earn his bachelors of science in Industrial Arts from California University of Pennsylvania and then later receiving his Master’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University. 

He served in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Semanek worked as an industrial arts teacher for thirty years at Chestnut Ridge School District until his retirement.  He enjoyed being a craftsman, woodworking, working on cars and building muzzleloaders.  He was also an avid reader.

Burial will be held privately at Ritchey Cemetery.
