Wayne L. Thompson, 82, of North Spring Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Donahoe Manor. He was born on June 13, 1935 in James Creek, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Richard Y. and Margaret J. (Beaver) Thompson. ON May 27, 1975 in the Presbyterian Church, Bedford he was united in marriage to Faye A. Thompson. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2010.
He is survived by children Donald W. Thompson married to Valerie, Hopewell, PA; Lori J. married to Bruce Struble, State College, PA; David L. Thompson, State College, PA and Richard A. Thompson, Everett, PA; fiancé Barbara Grubb, Everett, PA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Wigfield.
Wayne was of the Protestant Faith.
He was a graduate of Huntingdon High School Class of 1953 and attended Williamsport Tech to study plumbing. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 during the Korean War serving as a SP-3.
Wayne did plumbing work his entire working career. He retired from Agway and later worked for Clarks Well Drilling after his retirement.
He enjoyed watching baseball and football and was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed and was loved by many.
A Graveside Service will be held at Union Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating. Full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
