Warren Clayton Barkman, Sr.

Warren C. Barkman Sr., 86, of Vera Ruby Lane, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Pennknoll Village, Everett, PA.  He was born on October 7, 1930 in Monroe Township, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Alva and Lyda (Grove) Barkman.  On March 26, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD he married Emma Jane (Fluke) Barkman.  She preceded him in death on November 4, 2010.  He is survived by children Warren Clayton Barkman Jr. married to Charlene (Calhoun), Clearville, PA; Carol A. Ward and friend Jack Smith, Bedford, PA; Allen Lynn Barkman married to Sharon (Stunkard), Clearville, PA;

siblings Delores Colledge, Everett, PA; Helen Mills, Everett, PA; Ruth married to Dusty Clark, Everett, PA; Oscar Lee Barkman, Everett, PA; sister-in-law Linda Barkman;

seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Victor Barkman; grandson Jerry Barkman; son-in-law Ronald Ward; a brother William Barkman and brothers-in-law Jack Colledge and Charles Mills and a special friend Russell Eugene Guthrie.

Warren worked as a heavy equipment operator for Holloways and Central Penn and also working for Barkman Brothers Logging over the years. He was a member of Black Valley Church.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Black Valley Church with Pastor Ronald Hott and Pastor John Bennett officiating.

Family and Friends will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Burial will be held at Frame Church Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Barkman to the Akers Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
