Thomas L. Spencer

Thomas L. Spencer, 55, of Cook Street, Dudley, PA; passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at home.  He was born on April 28, 1961 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania; a son of Caroline D. (Swope) Spencer of Dudley and the late Larry L. Spencer.  On June 23, 1990 in Church of God Tabernacle he was united in marriage to Tammy (Barnett) Spencer. 

Along with his mother and wife he is survived by four children Shawn Spencer, Crestview, FL; Nichole married to Steven L. Kline, Everett, PA; Thomas Spencer Jr. “TJ”, Dudley, PA and Sonni married to Jonathan Martin, Dudley, PA; five grandchildren Steven R. Kline, Abagyle Kline, Jazlynne Spencer, Brock Martin and Kennedy Martin; brother Tim Spencer married to Kristen, Dudley, PA and a loving nephew Mason Spencer.

Tom was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1979.  He was employed for several years as a laborer with Local Labors Union #158.

He was a member of Dudley United Methodist Church.  He was a member of the sons of the American Legion Post No#126 and the “Stang Gang”.

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and nephew.  He loved helping others.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Akers Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A.M.

Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be held at Dudley Methodist Cemetery.
