S. Lucille (Horton) Weiser

Lucille Weiser, 86, of Raystown Road, Hopewell, PA; passed away on June 19, 2017 at home. She was born on January 18, 1931 in Langdondale, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Patrick and Goldie (Chaney) Horton.  On August 31, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia; she married William F. Weiser.  He preceded her in death on November 08, 2006.

Lucille is survived by daughters Geraldine Johnson, Lancaster, PA and Georgeanna married to Francis Tomchick, Hopewell, PA; grandchildren Christine married to Alan White, Bedford, PA; Pamela married to John Black, Lancaster, PA and Billy Tomchick married to Teela, Altoona, PA; great grandchildren Jillian, Megan, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Macy, Giada and Dorian.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family; she was preceded in death by all siblings.

Mrs. Weiser was a member of the Six Mile Run United Methodist Church, Defiance, PA and the Hopewell Senior Center.

Lucille’s pride and joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She worked for many years at various factories in the area and later retired from housekeeping at Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She enjoyed keeping her home clean and tidy.

Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Six Mile Run United Methodist Church with Lay minister Rod Donaldson officiating.

Burial will be held in Langdondale Cemetery.
