Robert V. Foor

Robert V. Foor, 76, of Parkview Drive, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at home.  He was born on January 1, 1941 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a son of the late John Quintin and Athalone (Rice) Foor.  He is survived by his companion of twenty-eight years LuAnn (Leonard) Grubb. 

Along with his companion he is survived by children Tammi Sue Foor, Gettysburg, PA; Yvette V. married to Brian Weyer, Everett, PA; Yvonne married to Derwin Scalph, Chester, MD; Landon Grubb married to Janel (Lingenfelter), Everett, PA and LaNecia Grubb and Philip Childers, Everett, PA; daughter-in-law Ruth Foor, Valrico, FL; siblings John R. Foor married to JoAnn, Everett, PA; Carol Steed, Everett, PA; Paul Q. Foor married to Martie, Clermont, FL and Avala “Cookie” married to Bobby Price, Breezewood, PA; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son J. Leroy “Buck” Foor; son-in-law Robbi Blagg and brother-in-law: Monte Steed, Sr.

Mr. Foor was of the Methodist Faith.

He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1958.  After graduation Bob served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959-1963 serving as a Corporal E-4.

Bobby was a truck driver for fifty years, driving for Fry Sales and Service, Mercersburg, PA; Martin Marietta in West Virginia and LSG Trucking.  He enjoyed camping, reading, cruising and Florida vacations.  He deeply loved his children and grandchildren and also enjoyed caring for his dogs, birds and stray animals around home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McCuller officiating.

Family and Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
