Robert H. Grubb, 94, of West 6th Street, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born on March 13, 1923 in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Arthur S. and Edith (Fluke) Grubb. On May 2, 1949 in Cumberland, MD; he was united in marriage to Hope E. Grubb. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2012.
He is survived by children Sondra Kay married to Robert C. House, Newburg, PA, Larry Robert Grubb married to Susan (Manspeaker), Clearville, PA and Terry Paul Grubb, Everett, PA; brothers Paul Grubb, Everett, PA and Ernie Grubb married to Gail, Bedford, PA; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers William and Dean R. Grubb and sisters Sara Jane Smith and Betty Trail.
Bob served in the United States Army serving in the 86th Infantry Division – Black Hawk.
Robert was saved at Chestnut Ridge Church and was a member of the Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He drove truck for Spector-Midstate for thirty years until his retirement. After he had retired he bought a truck and drove for Everett Trucking for several years. In 1947 he went to auctioneering school in Iowa, along with his father and sons, he auctioneered for sixty years owning and operating Robert Grubb & Sons Auctioneering. He was a faithful member of the Everett Lions Club.
He enjoyed hunting, working puzzles, woodworking, word puzzles and spending time with his family, grandchildren and church family.
Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church. Everett Lions Club will conduct services at 7:30 P.M.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 9391 Lincoln Highway, Bedford, PA 15522 with Pastor Steven Egbert and Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.
Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
