Margaret F. (Fowler) Entrekin

Margaret F. Entrekin, 89, of Apple Tree Lane, Entriken, PA; passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.  She was born on August 8, 1927 in Charleston, South Carolina; a daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Thompson) Fowler.  On August 8, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina she was united in marriage to William C. Entrekin.
Along with her husband of sixty-four years she is survived by children James L. Entrekin, Entriken, PA; Kim M. Entrekin married to Bonnie, Huntingdon, PA; Stephen K. Entrekin, Littleton, CO; Cheryl E. married to Barry Shope, James Creek, PA and Richard H. Entrekin, Bellfonte, PA; brother Henry L. Fowler, Jr. married to Susan, Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Bernita Frye.

Margaret was a member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Entriken, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She was a graduate of Aiken High School, Aiken, South Carolina and a graduate of University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Registered Nursing.

Margaret was a member of the Red Hats Society and was fond of her leadership role in Girl Scouts for so many years.  She enjoyed bowling, arts, crafts and reading.

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Entriken Road with Rev. Doug Satterlee officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Entriken Cemetery.
