Margaret G. (Betts) Baker

Margaret G. (Betts) Baker, 82, formerly of Little Valley Road, Saxton, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Menno-Haven, Chambersburg, PA.  She was born on August 13, 1935 in Entriken, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Edwin and Olive (Hess) Betts.  On June 16, 1951 in Saxton, Pennsylvania; she married Kenneth C. Baker. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2008.  

She is survived by children Gloria J. Myers married to Larry, Shippensburg, PA and Charles A. Baker married to Laurie, Sharpsburg, MD; daughter-in-law Joy Baker, York, PA; siblings, Edwin F. Betts, New Waterford, OH, Donna Shields, St. Thomas, PA and Marlin Betts, Alexandria, PA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a son Kenneth L. Baker and brother Allen Betts.

Mrs. Baker was of the Protestant Faith.  She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, arts and crafts, crocheting, sewing, cake decorating and baking.

Over the years Margaret worked at the Shoe Factory in Woodvale and later as a seamstress at the Arrow Shirt Factory.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the chapel.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Entriken Cemetery.
