Linda Anne (Woods) Kurtz

Linda A. Kurtz, 70, of Drenning Road, Everett, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona.  She was born on July 26, 1946 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Hoover) Woods.   On June 19, 1982 in Alexandria, Pennsylvania, she married Samuel Kurtz. Along with her husband, she is survived by children Bill Fisher married to Sheila, Mineral, VA; Bob Fisher, Alexandria, PA; Brian Fisher married to Katie, Bedford, PA and Travis Kurtz, Everett, PA; one brother Thomas C. Woods. Alexandria, PA; grandchildren Ryan Fisher, Michele Weaver, Weston Jones, Lacrisha Fisher, Cole Fisher, Dylan Fisher and Brianna Fisher and nine great grandchildren.

Linda was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bedford.  She was a former member of the Everett Lioness Club for sixteen years, fourteen of which she served as secretary.  Linda was part of two quilting guilds.

Mrs. Kurtz most recently worked as a rural paper carrier for the Bedford Gazette. She was previously a Sales Representative for the Avon District Sales Representatives and later serving as an Avon District Manager for a seven county area.

Friends and Family may call at the ­­­­Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 10:00 A.M.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Branch President Lenny Gates officiating.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
