Karen Kay (Barton) Weist

Karen K. Weist, 76, of Meadow Lane, Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on December 10, 1941 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Charles and Lydia (Beeler) Barton.  On July 7, 1967 in Winchester, VA she was united in marriage to Terry E. Weist.

Along with her husband of fifty years, she is survived by daughter Kristi married to Jeff Arcq, Breezewood, PA; granddaughter Katie Arcq; sisters Lois married to Paul Walters, Jr., New Paris, PA; Linda Francis, Greencastle, PA and Susan married to Jerry Foor.

She was preceded in death by sisters Joy Ann Barton, Sandra “Carol” Bittner and a brother-in-law William Francis.

Karen was a graduate of Southern-Fulton High School Class of 1959.  She worked in Breezewood over the years at various places as a desk clerk and in housekeeping in the motel industry.

She enjoyed reading, watching mystery shows and talking and spending time with family and friends.  Her granddaughter was her pride and joy.

A private Memorial Service will be held to honor her life with Pastor Ronald Hott officiating.
