Joyce and family here I sit almost three years after Hugo's passing reading this great memorial obituary. For some reason I was thinking of him today and decided to do a google search. Although our paths had gone separate ways I never forgot any of you and the good times we had in SO MD Scouting. Hope you are all well, we now live in Dover, DE.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Joyce, Logan, Kyle and family - our heartfelt condolences to you all. So much laughter (especially having to crawl over Hugo to get to the newborn puppies), your care and support for us through our dark time, so many wonderful memories. Hugo was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. The Purdy Family

I had the opportunity to meet Hugo many years ago at the NCIOR Great Council Session held in Nags Head. He and I set together during the meetings and really hit it off. Sometimes I think it was because we both loved to talk so much. Fortunately, for me I had the opportunity to see him again at the PA Red Men Great Council meeting. As always when he walked up he was smiling and said it's great to see you again my good friend from North Carolina. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family that he was so proud of and spoke of often.
