Frederick Kenneth Stuckey, 91, of Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on October 4, 1925 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Simon and Ethel (Morgart) Stuckey. On May 1, 1947 he was united in marriage to Helen (Shives) Stuckey.
Along with his wife of sixty-nine years he is survived by daughters Barbara married to David Decker and Patricia married to William Markiewitz; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Helen Catherine Stuckey and a brother Walter Stuckey.
He was a friend to many and will be missed for his great sense of humor.
Fred was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1943. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943-1945 having served on the battleship USS Colorado as an electrician in the South Pacific.
Mr. Stuckey attended the Everett Church of the Brethren.
He was a former member of the Everett Fire Company. He held many jobs over the years including projectionist at the Everett Theatre, trucking dispatcher for Kramer Brothers, part-time Everett policeman and was a self-employed contractor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA with Pastor Eric Henderson officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
