Elizabeth E. (Kiem) Zezula

Elizabeth E. “Betty” Zezula, 93, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Colonial Courtyard.  She was born on August 16, 1924 in Irvington, NJ, a daughter of the late Christian Andrew and Jane Elizabeth (Loveday) Kiem.  She was married to John Zezula for 50 years and he preceded her in death in 2005.  She is survived by children Patti Richards married to Perry, West Haven, VT and Bettsy Szabocsik married to Jack, Six Mile Run, PA; grandchildren Andy Lazore, Akwesasne, Quebec; Joy Lazore, Topsham, ME; PJ Obermeier, Rio Vista CA; Tracy Sposato married to Bob, Pemberton, NJ; Debbie Reinitz married to Rich, Jackson, NJ; Christy Mariani married to Aaron; Barnegat, NJ; eighteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.  Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Chris and Edwin Kiem.

Mrs. Zezula worked during WWII doing long distance telecommunications.

Betty enjoyed playing bingo, cards and putting jigsaw puzzles together.  She also enjoyed feeding and watching birds as well as caring for her cats. She loved living at Colonial Courtyard. Whenever she was asked how she was doing, her reply was always, "Fine and Dandy!"

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
