Donna Lea (Carl) Hess, 60, of Bethesda, Maryland and Breezewood, PA; passed away on June 16, 2017 at The Casey House (Hospice Care Center), Rockville, MD. She was born on July 19, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter of Donald L. Carl of Breezewood, PA and the late Audrey J. Miller. On June 23, 1973 in Everett, PA; she was united in marriage to Richard L. Hess. Along with her husband and father she is survived by children Angie (Hess) married to Shaun Daugherty, Breezewood, PA; Justin Hess engaged to Kelly Schleinkofer, Breezewood, PA; Jason Hess married to Jamie, Breezewood, PA and Robert “Joey” Hess and girlfriend Rebekah James, MD; grandchildren Amber, Autumn, Shawn, Timothy, Karlee, Shelby, Ande, Emily, Haylie and Jayson; siblings Jack Miller married to June, Middleburg Heights, OH; Barbara married to Butch Schmuck, Friendsville, MD; Nora married to Steve Holley, Newport, PA; Allen Carl married to Sandy, Breezewood, PA; sister-in-law Elaine Hayes, Everett, PA; brother-in-law Duane Hess, Everett, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother John Hayes.
Mrs. Hess was of the Protestant Faith.
Donna was employed as a Special Operations Supervisor for the rental industry.
She enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.
Friends may visit, or pay their respects at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raytown Road, Everett on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Hott officiating.
Burial will be held in Mt. Chapel Cemetery, Breezewood.
