Conda L. Conner, 78, of Hollars Extension, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. He was born on March 11, 1939 in Mattie, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Filmore E. and Margaret (Hoopengardner) Conner. On November 23, 1961 in Winchester, Virginia; he was united in marriage to his of fifty-five years, Carol L. (Ritchey) Conner. Along with his wife he is survived by a son Quinn L. Conner of Everett, PA and a brother George Conner of Bedford, PA.
He was preceded in death by siblings Carrie Cogan, V. Earl Conner and Ada M. Hott.
Conda served in the United States Army during Vietnam War as a SP4 from 1962-1963.
After serving in the service he drove truck until later working as a shop foreman for Moran Trucking and McCabe Trucking. He owned and operated Conner’s Used Cars since 1971.
Mr. Conner was a member of Rock Hill Christian Church. He enjoyed going to automobile auctions, riding motorcycles, working on classic and antique automobiles, cutting and splitting firewood and just being outdoors. He loved his dogs and cats.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Fran Scott officiating
Family and Friends will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2-6 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
