Barry J. Leighty, II, 46, of Church Street, Saxton, PA; passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 31, 2017. He was born on January 21, 1971 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a son of Barry J. and Jo Ann (Moyle) Leighty of Saxton. Along with his parents he is survived by brothers Aaron C. Leighty married to Danielle (Pepple) Martinsburg, PA; Jeremy C. Leighty married to Amy (Teeter), Lumberton, NJ and Daniel S. Leighty married to Lindsey (Summers), Saxton, PA; six nieces and nephews Zakary, Zeth, Cooper, Ben, Crosby and Cicely.
Barry was a member of the Saxton United Methodist Church.
He was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1989, where he played on the Tussey Mountain District Title Champion Football Team in 1988 and was District Champion for the Tussey Mountain Tennis Team for two years 1988 and 1989. After graduation Barry studied HVAC at Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center.
He was an avid Penn State Football fan as well as Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates fan. He enjoyed hunting.
Graveside Services will be held privately by the family.
