Barry L. Bottenfield

Barry L. Bottenfield, 63, of Brookside Drive, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Thursday, December 07, 2017 at home with family by his side.  He was born on August 18, 1954 in Roaring Spring, PA; a son of the late Jack R. and Alice Jean (Steele) Bottenfield.

He is survived by his wife Janet L. (Hoover) Bottenfield; son Adam Bottenfield married to Monet (Ickes), Everett, PA; grandsons: Ryan C. and Zachary D. Bottenfield; siblings Jack D. Bottenfield, Bedford, PA, Randy A. Bottenfield, Everett, PA, and Andy Bottenfield married to Paula (Cunningham), Bedford, PA; mother-in-law: Doris Hoover; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of the Northern Bedford High School Class of 1972.

Barry worked for Clark Contractors for thirty years as a superintendent.  He was a talented craftsman with a tremendous work ethic.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, collecting tractors and classic car memorabilia with a special love for his classic Mopar cars.  Barry liked to attend Cruise-In’s and car shows with his wife and son.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating

Family and Friends will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Burial will be held at privately at Union Memorial Cemetery.
